Week 51

This term has been both good and bad. We have worked with a lot of different things like fractions and Vikings for example. This year hasn't been very different from the other years because nothing special happened that stood  out from all the other years. The most fun thing we worked with was writing novels and paint abstract paintings.

We look forward to not knowing what we expect about 2015!!

                                 This term

This term has been fun & boring at times. We have been working with some new stuff such as chemistry, short stories & novels and fractals. We did basic traditions such as hagaloppet, Halloween, Lucia and other stuff. Tomorrow is the final day of this term before Christmas and everyone is excited. Sadly there will be no snow till Christmas is southern Sweden. Algot's favorite thing this term was students choice, and Gabriel's is the same. Next year we hope that we get to meet our "Godchildren" more and more ball play in sports apparently. Gabriel will move Switzerland and everyone is sad about that. Well anyway...

Reflect over this term

For some weeks ago we were at an opera. It was very nice. We think the best part was when we watched the Kings room. But the funniest part was when we watched the play and had to choose which end it would be lucky or unlucky. We choose the unlucky end. We hope to se the more snow and sunshine. 

     Hagaloppet

The best part of this term was the Haga Run

 

Haga Run is a spring contest and every year we going to Haga park and run it. It's two races one for first,second and third grade and there's one for the fourth,five and sixth grade. The first race is one lap and the second is two laps.

The first class who have 5 people from their class wins

and the prize is a golden shoe 

5A didn't win this year but maybe next year in grade 6.

Week 50

       Students choice gym

Last Friday we had gym and during the gym we had a students choice. 💬. We had some groups which were the needlework group and the woodwork group.The needlework group chose ✌️Harry Potter✌️and "mimboll." Woodwork group doing the next term.

                    Vi I femman results.

We just got the results from the "Vi I femman" competition. Eight classes made it to the competition next year. However no class from our school made it :( . On a website you could check the scores for each municipality, county, school and class. Our class did pretty well. You could also check the average score for every class, school, county and municipality. 5C in our school was best. The average score in Stockholm was about 18,03 %. It will be exiting to see next years score.

Christmas Bazaar

This weekend we had the Christmas bazaar. We 5A 5B 5C had the restaurant and sold for example pie,sandwiches,waffle,piroger and pancakes. Some other classes sold other things like toys and candy. It started at 13:00 and ends at 16:00.

We used to do own cards with t.ex glitter and colours and lots of more.

Week 49

The 22 march there is going to be a omval for riksdagen. Its going to be omval because social demokraternas budget didn't pass in riksdagen. Anything could happen in the nyval so we will just have to wait and see. There hasn't been a omval in Sweden since 1958, so it is quite exciting. The democratic party's in riksdagen are Sverige demokraterna, social demokraterna, moderaterna, folk partiet, Miljöpartiet, vänster partiet, center partiet, Kristen demokraterna.  

We have did a cover to our travel plan books.

We have written down what we're going to have with us as clothes, money and other important things, that we call the packing list.

We have also made a budget of how much money we're having with us to the trip.

Budget crisis. (Current events)

The criticised party SD (Sverige demokraterna) has decided to shed the governments budget. This is a serious thing, as this may result in that prime minister Stefan Löfven departs from the goverment on Wednesday, which would lead to confusion and chaos. Löfven Said that "SD:s notice doesn't mean that they will vote down the government, but but any government that doesn't dance to their tune." (Source: metro). S & MP has invited the remaining parties to discuss this.

Fraction

We have been working with fractions in the recent past. We have worked with cuisenaire rods. We have also worked with the flea. We have worked with elevspel.se. We have also worked with fractions paper.

Hi some days before December we did a Christmas calendar.

All kids in class 5a did a Christmas card  and all students get their own number

to have on the card.We are opening one card every day.For example if it is 4 December 

We are opening card number 4.All kids write like a little task on a piece of paper

that we randomly put in different cards in the calendar. The tasks were like all kids in the class

say the nines multiplication table.It was kind of fun to make the Christmas calendar

Current events

There is a horrible sickness that's called ebola. It's an epidemic and is mostly centred in west Africa. It spreads in contact of body fluids (vomit, blood, and saliva) it gives you inner bleedings and you vomit blood. It have been a problem for years but when it came to Europe people started to help. Now we're  trying hard to make a vaccine. There are people that are immune to the symptom but they can still give others the sickness. The places that have the sickness is well isolated so there's nothing to worry about.

                                On Monday a girl from the opera came

                               to talk to us and have a little workshop.

                               The first thing we did was to talk about what the opera was about.

                                 We also played a little game that you got a card and then you 

                                had 30 seconds  to write down 3 things you would take

                                with you if there was a fire! You then told what you would bring but you

                                didn't need to if you didn't want to.

Last week we saw a movie. In the movie they asked questions that we were going to answer.  We get the  answers on 9/12 and we can be in the final if we have many correct answers. 

 Student's choice

During last week we had the first new student's

choice.  We have different kind of classes like

crafts, engineering and more.

In engineering for exemple they did a bridge out 

of straws. In art class they have worked

with 3D hands. We think that student's choice

is very very fun!:)

                             Chemistry final🔬

We had worked with chemistry the whole term, but now it's time to pack because we have find all the answers to the mystery. So today we have finished packing so we packed all the stuff we have used so we could give them back to the company.

We had done some experiments with some powder and liquids. 

We learned the chemistry security how you have to act exempel do not run,don't taste the things you are working with and don't play around.

And we think it was really fun to work with this because we learned a lot.

Week 48 2014

Class Meeting               

On the class meeting we have one chairman and one secretary. The chairman giving orders to some people in the class. Then the person say that it will say. We have a list of different point for example rules or breaks. Secretary writes down what children say on a computer. We have two student council representatives who write down points and take it to student council. This is the points.

Music test!

Last week we had a music test.

We started with writing down all off the symbols and just for  fun we made a bingo of it. 

We had two weeks to learn all of the symbols. 

After two weeks we had the music test.

Thomas our music teacher told us that our class had the best results in average.🎶

Christmas Caledar

We have been making a Christmas calendar together. 

Each person got a number (1-24) and then you got a paper

which you folded in half. Then you got to write your number

and decorate the frontside. Then each person got to write an

anonymous note or drawing which was supposed to be

inside the folded papers. Lotta then randomly took the notes 

and glued them inside a randomly picked folded paper.

That way nobody knew what was going to be inside.

We then glued them on a big paper to finish the christmas calendar.

                                        Math games

We have played a math game called kahoot and it was a game about fractions. There were questions on the whiteboard and we wrote the answers down on an ipad (we worked two and two). A question could be for example 'what is biggest fraction of 78/100,78/1000,78/1 and 78/10'. Some of the children thought it was fun and some thought it wasn't fun. The bad things were for example that the qeustions were connected to the wrong answers and when you answered correctly it sed you were wrong. The good things was a lot of excitement in the game.

We have worked with our passports.

We have written all the information in our pass for example

Our name,birthdate and Personalen number,and After that when we are done we have to color them.

We need the passports  to fly to  author countries .

Everybody down't have passports.

Week 47 2014

Nu ska vi börja blogga på engelska så vi lär oss mera. Det här är det första inlägget på engelska, och handlar om vad vi har jobbat med senaste tiden. 

      Vikings

We have worked with Vikings for 3 weeks and we are done with it. On the first lesson we did a test and we did the same test on the last lesson, to see what we have learned. We wrote a fact text from ungafakta.se and we watched many films.

ART!

We have worked with surrealistic art.

We have worked with some bottles too.

The idea come from Eva and was inspired from Eva's art.

We have worked with Leonardo da Vinci.

We made sculptures of Mona Lisa.

But we made a own versions.

Scientists

We have done some research on different scientists and write about the things they have come up to. And after all the reachers we have to tell the class about what they have done.

And then Lotta is going to read are texts.We have to research about the things they done,the good things,bad things and what they have done to the world.And this is so fun because we learn a lot.And we have worked with this about two weeks so have done a lot.And all that information we got to write on a paper and then we got to take all the important words and write like support words so we can remember. 

UN Day

24 of October was UN day. On Monday the 20th of October we went to the aula. Where the school choir sang songs about peace (for example We are the world, Give peace a chance, Heal the world e.t.c.) The audience also joined in on some songs. On Thursday the 23th we went out to the schoolyard and each class placed themselves in different letters. The result would be the word PEACE. 5th grade was in the last E. (There was much chaos) Finally when it calmed down some teachers began taking pictures. It went pretty well. The C was however barely visible. Some classes made flags and hung them up around the school.

    NTA - Chemistry

During the last weeks we have 

been working with different kinds of

white powders and trying to figure out what 

they are.  We have used magnifying glasses to look at them closer. 

We have used toothpicks to feel them.

 We worked in groups of two and

two. We think it was very fun to work with it.

Hi we have done games that we have played with our Buddy classes

We've done the games by ourselves two'n'two. It was fun to do the games.

And I think our buddyies enjoyed to play them as well.
